Metrication?

There are many reasons and arguments in favor of metrication. One that I like (and I think is persuasive if you can get people to listen) is:

Because the metric system is simpler, it saves time, effort and money. To make the change will require a small extra amount of time, effort and money but those extra costs will occur just once, when the change is made. The savings of time, effort and money will occur over and over, each and every day, forever and ever and ever. In short order, we will save much more time, effort and money than the small amount needed to make the conversion.
