I buy the so-called 14 oz size all of the time and have weighed the packages before opening. They have consistently weighed between 403 and 405 g.
This means two things: 1.) They can easily be labeled as 400 g and 2.) There is no need to be over precise to one decimal place. My guess is that the person who decided on the package amount is pro-metric and the person who decided what the labels will show is anti-metric. Euric ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.
