That tourist office is run by the National Capital Commission. If you visit their website, it is firmly in metric. http://www.canadascapital.gc.ca/corporate/index_e.asp
After searching the site, I was able to locate only a few entries for the word "mile" and that was a reference to the "Mile of History" a project that was begun in the 1960s. Other than that, the only other reference I could find was a few listings of acre, which are shown secondary to hectare.
