As you can see the ABC qualifies these results with the line:

'Please note that the online poll is not, nor is it intended to be,
statistically valid. It is simply a "straw poll", a method of gaining a
rough idea of community feelings on any given topic. Consequently the
results should not be the subject of any serious interpretation or
analysis'.
