I've been conducting a lot of self/inner scrutiny lately... Here are some thoughts you, guys, can decide to debate/consider.
1) From experience I find it's NOT enough for one to simply live and support what one believes, if your 'environment' is anti or hostile one MUST stand his/her ground to "at least have some respect". Otherwise you simply get steam-rolled by it. In other words, the "culture" aspect, attitudes, habits, are a HUGE obstacle when it comes to the introduction of progress that REQUIRES people to change. 2) A "religious" type of action to effect change in the marketplace while worthy of consideration, unlike religion, does NOT effect actual changes! Why? In the spiritual realm the individual simply *changes* ***regardless*** of the environment since it's become a matter of *PRINCIPLE* to him/her. When it comes to aspects surrounding (around) us one ALWAYS has to deal with a *collective* body of stakeholders to battle; and if you're in the minority EVEN when you're right you CAN and invariably WILL be disappointed and "outvoted"! I found this to be the case EVEN when education has done its job of "enlightening" people. (Suffice it for one to look at Canada to understand what I mean) 3) ONLY when there is a combination of *POWER/LEADERSHIP/COLLECTIVE INITIATIVE* can one have some hope of achieving progress *when it comes to effect changes ON others*!!! Don't EVER expect that people will simply cooperate willingly, especially considering item #1 above. 4) Why waste time on reinventing the wheel??? True, innovative things is an interesting perspective in life, but why tinker with it when no evidence exists that such "new approach" ever produces meaningful *LASTING* results?! 5) Whatever happens, guys, ***PLEASE*** NEVER compromise what you believe to be right! There... Now the forum is open... :-) I'll leave you, guys, with this small legacy of "thought gems". All the best to everyone and God bless...
