When I went to the site it looked like they are calling
the race a 12 kelvin race. Kind of strange, wouldn't you
think/

Amsterdam
Perhaps they ran they rounded it to the nearest whole unit that
described the distance between two landmarks? I know here in San Francisco, we
have the Bay-to-Breakers race which is a 12 km course, rather than the
standard 10 km. In usual American style, the course description is a muddled
mess of mixed units. http://www.baytobreakers.com/info/index.html
