Lovers
of running are invited to join the 20th edition of the Dam to Dam
Run. It offers an interesting course and scores of rooting
spectators. The dream of every runner! The course takes the runners
from the center of Amsterdam to the center of Zaandam, a distance of
just over 16 kilometers.
TOP ATHLETES
Some 22,000
runners are expected to join this run, Holland�s biggest. A number
of top athletes will participate. They will give the competition an
international and professional flavor. The expected 100,000 �
200,000 spectators and various bands en route will create a truly
festive atmosphere.

The annual 'Dam to Dam Run' is occurring
for the 20th time, and the basis will remain the 16.1 km run that
goes from Amsterdam to Zaandam and then back again. Attracting
30,000 participants - many of whom are world-class athletes - and up
to 200,000 witnesses, this year's event also includes competitions
for children and wheelchair-bound participants - and there will also
be a circus and various mini-marathons in Zaandam for the kids.
Various bands and orchestras line the route.
