I think the 24-litre microwave oven probably had a capacity of 24 litres, with a rough conversion supplied also in cubic feet. Or it could be that one volume refers to internal and one to external. There are companies in the UK who are very sneaky in that, they give the external and internal volumes in different units for various appliances like fridges and freezers, but I have not looked at capacities of microwave ovens here in the UK so I don't know how they are specified.
The 0.09 cubic feet figure you quoted is slightly more than 25 litres, so I wonder if that was a rough conversion or the figure for the external volume?
