Some manufacturers offer both and there are those in the EU that regard
serving size information as useful (e.g. consider a 45 g muesli bar). Rules
do constrain the definition of serving and the US has already revised the
rules once.

There is an international body called Codex Alimentarius that attempts to

I presume that the industry would welcome more harmonisation of rules across
borders. The EU is also reconsidering label rules.
