I have a
question. Would a good rule of thumb for converting yd's to m be yd's minus 10
percent = m? I no this isn't very accurate and couldn't be used for
building but maybe be alright for conversion in every day use. Does anybody
know in catalogs when the dimentions of furniture or appliances or
anything else are the dimentions exact or approx? Thanks for your time and
help. I really enjoy this site a
lot.
Though know it isn't exactly accurate I consider a yard 90% of a metre or
90 cm when making a rough conversion. So 10 yards becomes 10 yards
of 90 cm each for a total of 9 m.
( 1 yard = 91.44 cm = 91.44% of a metre)
