It is very interesting that the law requiring pints
(actually increments of half-pints according to the web site posted) only
applies to beer and cider. All other alcoholic beverages must be sold in
increments of either 25 mL or 35 mL. This means a pub would have a 500 mL
glass (increment of 25 mL) on hand to sell the other drinks but can't use that
glass for beer nor can they use the beer glass to sell Gin, rum, vodka or
whisky.
Now, I know they wouldn't sell someone 500 mL of pure
whisky, but would use a 500 mL as a mixed drink. What about
wine?
