There are no "real" or any other type of pints in Europe and anywhere else for that matter. The word pint is used as a SLANG term for glass or if a specific amount is meant it is 500 mL as we have seen. Nobody in Europe uses ounces or defines things with ounces.
Let me clarify. There are "real pints" available in Europe. In spain I had one (as in 20floz /568ml) In hungary they had an english export of bottled ale in pint bottles. I know this because I saw them. Can you tell me how you found out that they don't have this please?
20 ounces to you is 568 mL. 20 ounces in the US is 591 mL Two different amounts. So you didn't "see" a "real pint" in the US
I saw an advertised "real pint" in an Irish bar in St Pete's, Florida. It was 20oz. Care to tell me that I didn't see this?
What does it take to get you to understand they are not the same?
Physically going places rather than relying on the following: "www.google.com"
