The Food Marketing Institute is one of those groups that will go down
kicking and screaming. They are the cause, and not the result, of
Americans not knowing metric. And they conveniently forget that no one
looks at the measurements on the boxes. They just grab the big box, the
small box, the medium sized bottle, etc. Half the time the wombat
measurement isn’t rounded either.
Metrication won’t be fully done until some future government gets the
/cajones/ to get it done once and for all, and to do it right, like
Australia.
I sent my message to both addresses, refuting the page. Ty Kelley is out
for several days, but Tansing should get it. Hopefully she'll get it.
