Don,

I would add that sometimes it is worth discussing the political agendas only as they specifically apply to metric.  You are correct in stating that broad political discussion is best done elsewhere but I think it is useful to discuss SPECIFIC examples of political support or opposition to metrication in the U.S.  I would hope you would agree on that point.

OK, we are truly off topic when we are trying to define or defend political agendas.

 

When are you guys going to unite on the metric cause and stop letting politics divide us?  There’s plenty blame for the U.S. non-metric status to go around.  Instead, what are you doing for the cause?  Talk is cheap, action is where you really stand.
