The image of the free rulers that you attached transformed into an endless string of symbols. The offer sounds interesting, especially in view of the upcoming National metrication week, those rullers could be a handy "promotional" metric material. :-)

Did the GIF image show up properly for other forum members?

I have attached a JPG image this time.

Ivan, if you cannot open the JPG, I will have our webmaster post it somewhere on the QSI web site on Monday.

A few years back we had a link to the ruler on our web site, with a short form to fill out and request a free ruler. Then, one day someone posted the link to some web site that is nothing but free offers. We started getting 100 to 120 requests PER HOUR, 24 hours a day, from all over the world. Even though our web page clearly said "technical ruler, not appropriate for students below high-school level science classes," we got requests from grade school teachers, junior high teachers, etc.

So, we had to pull the "free ruler" page off our web site.

The USMA sells its own ruler at a very inexpensive price (in fact, we got the ruler idea from the USMA), so I do not think they would want to give ours away.

Jim
