Dear Pierre,

I think that it's generally a good idea for other members of this list to see the letters you post to companies. I think that this is true for several reasons:

1   It alerts us to positive good metrication news.
2   Others may be able to support your initiative.
3   You may provide the rest of us with a model letter we can adapt and use for other pro-metric purposes.

Of course, and you may have noticed other people doing this, you might like to send us the body of your letter without the details of the company you are sending it to. This achieves the 3 objectives above but does not place you in an embarrassing position.
