What I clearly said was that you wouldn't receive a pint or a half from a bottle or a draught pump.

Ok - to cut the semantics - you won't get a half or pint from a bottle but you will get one from a multidispenser tap (those one's that do all the softdrinks and water)

Not always necessarily so.  Many 'pint' glasses have 568ml stamped on them.

Well, doesn't the statement below imply legality?  It certainly seems to.

If you want to to - I guess it doesn't harm anyone to perceive things wrongly.

There's nothing to stop anybody asking for and obtaining a pint or a half of anything. Why imply that there was?
