What I clearly said was that you wouldn't receive a pint or a half from a
bottle or a draught pump.
Ok - to cut the semantics - you won't get a half or pint from a bottle but
you will get one from a multidispenser tap (those one's that do all the
softdrinks and water)

Well, doesn't the statement below imply legality? It certainly seems to.
If you want to to - I guess it doesn't harm anyone to perceive things
wrongly.
"In a pub you can ask for a pint, or half pint of coke/lemonade etc and
you'll "get away with it".
There's nothing to stop anybody asking for and obtaining a pint or a half
of anything. Why imply that there was?
