I found it interesting the mix of units that were used by the engineers. It was actuallly a Discovery Channel program about various thrill rides being designed in the US and UK. Height was always in meters but acceleration was always in mph and the bar was the most widely used unit of pressure. It was a hodgepodge mix of both SI and non SI units.
