Hi Scott, Arun and all: Inded this was thoughtful of you to send in a word that YOU do remember.Festival of lights, as we call in India is celebrated on Lord Rama's return to Ayodhaya after his battle with 'demon king Ravana of Sri Lanka'. AUM mantra of a HINDU is the base of all religions - since the child on his birth makes (openning & closing of mouth) making THIS first sound. This is also dedicated to be the first mantra revered to Maa Gayatri. Diwali falls on October 21/22 this year. To my westrn friends, I thank you all for remembering our Hindu festival. May Maa Gayatri bless us all. My applogy to members for loading their IN BOX.
