I see these bottles quite frequently.  With the exception of vending
machine size (20 oz) I would say they are the most common small
non-resale bottle available.
The part I see catching on is advertising in metric only.
The most common marking is "16.9 oz, 1 pt 0.9 oz, .5 l".  Maybe its a
regional thing.
