Payne, sir:
Going to site:

(3) to seek out ways to increase understanding of the metric system of
measurement through educational information and guidance and in Government
publications; and (4) to permit the continued use of traditional systems of
weights and measures in non-business activities.
While Fedral Metric promotion Law of 1975 had good intentions, it lacked the
thrust. Ammending ONE word in (4) above to read:
"(4) to 'deny' the continued use of traditional systems of weights and
measures in non-business activities".
can make impact on 'willing audiance' to Learn & Implement Metric!

Another manufacturer who needs some more comments. Read from the bottom up!
The told me metric wasn't the official system for the US, so I sent back a
web site where it states it is. Send your requests to Audi!

But it is the official system of the United States, see Federal law at:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode15/usc_sec_15_00000205---b000-.html
So based on your comments, you web site should be metric. I look forward
to seeing it that way. In the interim I base my buying decisions on
obtaining information in the metric system which you will see on every
item you buy in the grocery store.

Dear Michael:
Thank you for contacting Audi of America.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments with us. We
welcome feedback from our customers regarding their experience and
preferences.
In most countries the specifications are indeed in metric measure.
However, that is not the official system of the United States, and
therefore the U.S.A. website uses the system of the country it serves.
If you would like to consult the metric equivalents, you might want to
visit the Canadian site (www.audicanada.ca), where the specifications
are given in metric measure. Since the vehicles are the same in
dimensions, this would provide you with the information you need.
Your note has been forwarded to the appropriate individuals. We look
forward to hearing from you again if we can help with any information or
be of any further assistance.
Again, thank you for contacting Audi.

Please provide your comments or request : Nowhere on your web site is
there any information helpful to Americans who prefer the metric system,
I'm surprised the cubic capacity is not in cubic inches because the
cylinder dimension are in inches. How about including information on
your web site and in your brochures for the preferred system? I'll be
buying a new vehicle within 6 months, no metric no sale is my motto.
Better get busy!
