The Toyota Prius is a much larger car than the Honda two-seater and is in a couple of classes above the Honda two-seater. EPA has standards based on physics to determine fuel efficiency rather than on ad hoc people driving around.

I bought a Honda Insight in 2000. Then and now its fuel efficiency is much better than that of the Pruis.
However, it seats only the driver and one passenger.

Sorry Brian.
I haven't seen nor heard of a car which gives the same or more high mileage as the Prius unless it's a scooter. Please list the cars which cost $8 k less than the Prius which get more miles per gallon. Even the Hondas do not
get it.
