You folks think it is hot? Last July in the Sacramento Valley our car thermometer (it's a Volvo, and always right on) hit 48 briefly, before settling down to 47. People from California will remember that ten-day stretch of really hot weather. I had visitors from New Zealand in the car and they were amazed--and hot. And it is fairly humid here, unlike Arizona.
