Thanks for the reminder and the links, Remek. I have just submitted the following:

The Congress of the United States has power to "fix the standard of weights and
measures" under Article I, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution. Because the
Metric Conversion Act of 1975, as amended 1988, states that the Congress has
declared the metric system of measurement to be the "preferred system of
measurement for trade and commerce" in the U.S., the metric system should be
used as the primary system of measurement in U.S. labeling. Fluid ounces and
ounces should no longer be used. Also, since percentages by weight or volume are defined in metric units (g/100 mL or mL/100 mL), and the nutrient contents (fat, carbohydrate, etc.) are already proposed to be stated in metric units, it is all the more reason for the alcohol content to be stated only in metric units, namely grams (g), and the serving size stated only in milliliters (mL).

There are only 2 more days remaining to submit comments on Notice No. 73 regarding labeling of alcoholic beverages. The main thrust of Notice No. 73 is that TTB proposes to amend its regulations to require a statement of alcohol content, expressed as a percentage of alcohol by volume, on all alcohol beverage products. However, this can be our chance to voice our opinion on making the labeling uniform in metric.

Go to: www.regulations.gov <http://www.regulations.gov> and in the second textbox (under "Comment and Submission") type in "notice no 73" and click Go. The first item to come up will be Notice No. 73 -- Labeling and Advertising of Wines, Distilled Spirits and Malt Beverages <http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/component/main?main=DocumentDetail&o=09000064802701a7> Directly under the title, there will be a "Send Comment or Submission" link. This will take you to a page where comments can be made. Please take the time to make your voice heard. As an example, you can look at the thorough and well-thought-out submissions by the folks on gometric.us <http://gometric.us>:
