Committee A1 (on SI Practice) of the American Welding Society has
scheduled a telephone conference for February 15.
A major question is whether or not to proceed with a regular (every
five-years) revision of the AWS guide on SI Practice.
My position is that the AWS should wait for a new edition of SP 811,
or for a new edition of the IEEE/ANSI document on SI as a reference document.
Will there be a new edition of SP 811 this year or next?
