Subject: RE: listserv problem
Ernie,
Unless I'm not understanding your reply, I think Yahoo is the problem, since
all the OUTGOING list messages that are being rejected are from Yahoo.com
addresses. I say that because list messages have come thru recently, but not
very many. They are numbered, so it does not appear that any are missing.
It's just that traffic is low lately.
Now, why I'm not seeing your INCOMING messages, is another mystery. Try
sending a message to [email protected], and let know, so that I can look to
see if it bounced or not. Copy me on that message, so I know it was sent.
I'll then pass it along to our campus computer gurus and see what they say. I
know the listserver has often had problems, but for the most part it works.
Sorry for your problems. I'll try to help you out.
BTW, make sure you are sending messages to the listserver using the same
EXACT address that you are subscribed. That's the only way the listserver
knows you. Messages from other addresses will be rejected.

Don, since I don't know how long it will take to fix the glitch, I'll send my
attempted and any future email postings to the e email names that I have saved
from previous postings.
Let me know when it is back up for me please. You may want to notify others
also.

Ernie,
I see you are subscribed, but I've gotten several error messages noticing
that message to you and others have bounced, as below:
"Final-Recipient: RFC822; [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Action: delayed
Status: 4.2.0
Last-Attempt-Date: Thu, 10 Apr 2008 04:13:31 -0600
Will-Retry-Until: Mon, 14 Apr 2008 23:31:10 -0600"
Yours is only one of about 10 such messages, all to Yahoo.com that they are
not accepting!

Paul,
With me, it's a good question to ask. I've had a number of previous posts....
including the recent and much debated metrics
So unless I am missing something, I think I did it correctly...

Ernie, this may sound silly, but, did you subscribe to the list? If not,
