Similarly, I recently posted a question asking why we don't try to get some 
people together and
start a real public awareness campaign to get New Yorkers interested in the 
metric system.  I
suggested we make some phone calls and try to get together a group of motivated 
young metric
supporters there.  I didn't get much of a reply either.  Maybe some of us more 
impatient types
should organize and start making some phone calls?  If I don't hear any more on 
the subject I
think I'm just going to try and start doing this on my own.  It sure would be 
nice to have some
help, though.
