There always will be those who either don't get the message or who don't 
want to chage.  It's best to make the change to the SI and move forward.

  When I see things like this, it doesn't bode well for a full metric 
transition.

  It seems politicians are too afraid of making people bite the bullet and do 
what is necessary.  If the transition went through as planned, some people 
would get caught not being prepared and they would deal with it.  I say let it 
go through on Feb 17.  This has already been pushed off for 5 years.

  I also feel the same way about metric transition.  Let's bite the bullet.  
Once done, people will deal with it and get over it.
