Jerry, Did you receive my suggestion to e-mail only individuals, and not the list, about individual questions? Please keep in mind that, as a subscriber, each time you send a response to [email protected], you are sending that message to each of the many subscribers to the list. A handful of daily responses to the list is OK (that is what the list is for), but if you send 20 or 30 or more responses a day, you are sending people a huge amount of e-mail, such that you are crowding out severely those individuals' private messages. It is the usual practice of our subscribers to respond to particular topics as if they were sitting around a table with a subject "on the table." Also, we reply to listserver messages by sending them to the Listserver address only, so the recipient will not receive the message twice. We strive to send individual messages to the person, not the list. If we didn't, we'd all have terabyte-sized inboxes (grin). As you have seen, some of our subscribers are experiencing something like this now.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Paul Trusten, R.Ph. If so then you should all be happy that I joined and brought life to it! But don't worry! You won't see any more responses from me after today until the end of this week. I don't have time to respond to my emails during the week. So with that in mind everyone can now go back to sleep. My has the email traffic more than quadrupled over the past week or so. Wow.
