I wouldn't buy the water myself; ribose is found in the ribosomes of all the foods I eat, and I have a water filter. As to the meat, Nagel says it's cheaper for him, in California, to buy from them than from local pasture-raising farmers. Flipping through Nagel's book I misread out of the corner of my eye: "Avoid battery-powered eggs." ;) Pierre
