Hi Bill:

NO, the need is an open mind! I left 'kiloseconds' some 20 years ago (1990's)
in favour of HOURS.

Somehow, right minded individual are NOT allowed to THINK 'metric' and pose
what else can cause them to STOP THINKING or impede the progressive mind. Just
align yourself to define ' decimal second, (sd) as 24hx100mdx100sd and Metre
New (m') as 1/10^5th of ONE DEGREE (pi/180) arc angle. THINK SERIOUS, BUT THINK
METRIC!

I shall make it easy. Just go to my:

It is not a metric issue. It is an issue with hours. The hour is an awkward
time unit because it does not relate simply to anything.

1 h = 60 min
1 h = 3600 s
1 h = (1/24) day

Any efforts to keep the hour are doomed to continue presenting awkward and
difficult unit combinations and calculations.

We DO need a time unit larger than the second and shorter than the day.
We have one. It is the kilosecond.

It may be impossible to eliminate the hour in favor of the kilosecond, but the
question is NEVER A METRIC ISSUE. It is a problem with the hour.
