Dear All,
It is interesting how an apprentice bespoke tailor simply dismisses all of the
old pre-metric measures when he writes:
But as most English literature is written using the Imperial system, instead of
themetric system, we "mainland european tailors" will almost always use German
literature, or literature available in our own language …
I have no doubt that this tailor will not only never import anything in to the
Netherlands from the UK or the USA, he won't even think to do so! A small loss
for exports from the UK or the USA but I suspect that there are many more like
him in this all-metric world.
