- I did make the point of saying that I knew you didn't mean it emotionally 
(and made an observation of how a certain few might read it).

- I've been asked that on this sort of forum before - and I'm quite consistent 
in my response :-)
Where safety is involved I prefer one measure - but only where there is that 
element.I always cite two examples for this:  Road signs, which I would prefer 
stay imperial only because 1. I like it that way (that's the selfish POV) and 
2. Having dual would clutter things and lead to error.  The other of my two 
examples is medicine.  And guess what? the responses are the same - ie 1. I 
like it that way and 2. Having dual would clutter and lead to error.   Error on 
both these could be quite catastrophic.   I understand people might have 
answers to both these that might go against me (from either 'camp') but that is 
my opinion and apart from the status quo it looks like the authorities (who I 
don't naturally support) agree.
