Hi all,

5.56 mm looks like 5/9 cm to me.

Regards

Someone on this blog says: An M-16 uses English measure, while an AK-47 uses
metric.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M16_rifle says however that the M-16 uses 5,56
mm rounds of ammunition. Another misconception.

Anyone have any idea why such on odd millimeter diameter? It gives 0,21889
inches.

Dear Al,

You can have all sorts of confusion with conversion:

-and-also-calibers-why-cant-they-all-be-uniform-it-is-very-confusin
