Robert H. Goddard---he was a rocket scientist (grin)! Eighty-five years ago today, in Auburn, Massachusetts, he conducted the first successful test of a liquid fuel rocket, which landed in Aunt Effie's cabbage patch, and into history.
At his high school graduation in 1904, he made a durable observation: "It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow."
