I am the author of this thread in support of U.S. changeover to the metric system of measurement. I included my signature at the end of the comment, but it was somehow omitted from Mr. Lowry's responding blogpost. I am amused by the river of political superstition that has flowed from it, such as "real people never divide by 10." I''m glad that the International System of Units isn't in base 13. But, I have at least broken the silence on U.S. metrication. Please continue the debate. Thank you all for participating. It is an important subject for the Nation.
