My National Review post sure did lance a huge boil, but I think we can cure the infection if we will just keep 'em talking about metrication. Most of the posts seemed to me to be wildly emotional, and I think U.S. metrication has not gotten anywhere because there has been no rationality to counter the emotion, and we have just been letting the emotion smolder. Kevin Wilks, former Secretary of the Australian Metric Conversion Board, told me that ours in the U.S. will be psychological battle as well as a technical one. I think talk will win. Keep 'em talking! Present your case for metric.
