Yes, Gene. The prices for the PDF and print versions are the same and as discussed in my second paragraph below.

Many of your initial touches linger in SI 10 I'm sure, Gene. Many people worked on this edition -- not just I.

Congratulations, Jim!

Is there a charge for the PDF version?

I too spent many hours, pro bono, working on SI 10, over the years, from within
the ASTM, although not nearly the efforts that you devoted to this revision.

Gene.

To: "U.S. Metric Association"<[email protected]>

Folks,

I am pleased to announce that IEEE/ASTM SI 10-2010, "American National
Standard for Metric Practice", was published yesterday. It was approved
by the IEEE-SA Standards Board on 2010 December 08, by ASTM
International on 2011 March 01, and by American National Standards
Institute also on 2011 March 01.

Any of the three organizations will be able to provide the document in
either PDF format by download or by Print-On-Demand hard copy. The IEEE
website for purchasing standards does not yet list SI 10-2010 but should
very soon. The price shown for SI 10-2002 (the now superseded version)
is $59 for non-members and I expect that the price for SI 10-2010 will
be comparable to that or perhaps just a bit greater when it appears in
that catalog.

I will submit an article to "Metric Today" (USMA) for publication
consideration. In that article I will describe major changes from the
previous edition, SI 10-2002.
