Unfortunately it works. He is knowledgeable (unlike John Jacob Weisenheimer

I agree that the Sunday connection from 30 to 44 is both farsical and
ludicrous, who wants a San Antoni-esque connection in Pittsburgh. I have
done 30/42 and both the current and previous versions of 43/29. The current
version is more reasonable (8:05pm in/out at 11:59pm at 3hr
54min) westbound, and the eastbound connection, if not for the current track
work, I think 48 should leave first and 30 should leave at 9:30pm out of
CHI)
That puts the PGH arrival at 8:00am and a 10:00am departure on train 44
would not be to shabby).
As to the Superliner Issue, perhaps they could make the Hoosier State run
all the way to Cincinnati and operate the Cardinal Boston-Indinapolis only,
passengers from CHI would board the Hoosier State and change cross-platform
at IND.
850 depart CHI 6:00P arrive CIN 4:00A next day (with new Surfliner Cars,
Business Class and Cafe).
Train 851 would leave Cincinnati such that it gets a more favorable
Indianapolis Schedule, departing at 8:05am, allowing 51 to be moved two
hours later NY-IND.
