Dear Coca Cola Marketing Department,

We at the U.S. Metric Association (USMA), Inc., (www.metric.org) could not
think of a better way for your company to celebrate its anniversary than by
extending and emphasizing the growing popularity of the metric system in
America, and you have done it with your new 1.25 L size!

Coca Cola continues to make the metric standard a natural part of the lives of
American consumers. We at USMA urge you "go that extra liter" by joining us in
pushing for a amendment to the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act that would let
you label your product in liters only, if you so desire. In other words, you
should be able to choose to drop the confusing non-metric units from your
labeling, and just keep the metric. Permissive (NOT mandatory!) metric-only
labeling is long, long overdue in the U.S., and your marketing makes it a
no-brainer.

USMA is a non-profit, national organization that has advocated U.S. conversion
to the SI metric system as the Nation's primary measurement standard since
1916. Since the Congress in 1988 declared metric to be the preferred U.S.
measurement system for trade and commerce, the time has long since passed for
consumer laws to reflect both the legal and the market trends.

Thank you for your support of U.S. metrication!

SIncerely,

Paul R. Trusten, Reg. Pharmacist
