Recently, I have been in automobiles or driven on roads where speed was 
measured in kilometers per hour, rather than in miles per hour. I came away 
thinking that it’s ridiculous that the United States still employs a unit of 
measure that dates to a British act of Parliament in the 1590s. . . . 
 
Except for the kph at the end, it is really pretty good.  I sent him a note 
about "km/h".
