This Code (UCUM) is copyrighted 2009 but the authors do not seem to be fully
conversant with the SI as promulgated by CGPM and BIPM documents, although they
do mention SI here and there.

A troubling quotation:

"Full name and print symbols are defined by the CGPM and are out of scope of
The Unified Code for Units of Measure."

The UCUM seems to me to be more *exhaustive* (including many archaic units of
historical interest outside the SI) and less *selective* (having strong
preference for SI units) than necessary in this 21st Century.
