Ezra. I understood your original message clearly. You wish the United
States would get rid of all weather descriptions that are not measured in
International System units. I know how frustrating it can be when
work-arounds are offered instead of a shared sentiment. I totally share
your wish. I am sure everyone else responding to you here shares your wish
too; they just skipped the sentiment part and jumped right into offering
alternatives in light of our dismal national situation. Hang in there.

Again, it's not about what I can get as an individual. It's about
getting the entire country converted to metric (which is what Canada has
done for meteorology).

Sorry if I left some ambiguity around my original message.

You can get the same thing -- and more -- through The Weather Channel's
affiliate, Weather Underground, www.weatherunderground.com.  Use the
Customize gear to set Units to Metric, and detailed and summary graphs
and
tables are displayed in metric units.
