I, personally, did not take exception to your comments about the Founding 
Fathers; however, I think they are tremendously unhelpful! The way you set up 
your question regarding metric legislation is now feeding into the narrative 
that customary units are somehow "American" and the people who support a metric 
measurement conversion are un-American or unpatriotic! You took an opportunity 
to ask a serious question and coupled it with Founding Father (U.S. history) 
bashing. I am not sure why you think that is a good strategy for our movement.
