Hi, everyone, An Asian student at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut, has written an article calling for America's metrication. It’s in the Wesleyan Argus (the University’s student newspaper,) here. <http://wesleyanargus.com/2018/02/08/going-metric-a-long-overdue-system-of-simplicity-and-perfection/>
The article quotes some of the international students and their difficulties with USC measurements, and one American student supporting USC. The closing paragraph is an excellent summary: It’s a small change in day-to-day life, but it is an important one. Given the greater interconnectedness of the world and the standards on which technology and industry operate, it is a foregone conclusion that America will eventually switch to the metric system. The question, now, is when. The article has been posted to Reddit and comments will be here. <https://www.reddit.com/r/Metric/comments/7wh6i1/going_metric_a_long_overdue_system_of_simplicity/> I hope you can show him some support. Best wishes, Peter Goodyear, Melbourne, Australia e-mail: [email protected]
