Response by the various agencies and departments in the Executive Branch
varied. There was some partial compliance by a few agencies and total
stonewalling by others. The required annual reports died a quick death.
I tried urging the previous head of the Metric Office (Gerry Ianelli?)
to lean on the agencies and departments and nothing happened. Probably
they would have ignored him anyway.
