Asunto: [USRP-users] Changing USRP -UHD- frequency

Hi everyone,
I need to choose one of this options and I would really appreciate your help.
I need to scan a range of the spectrum that is bigger than the USRP capacity.
In order to solve this, I will scan chunks of the spectrum that cover the same
spectrum range using several steps.
I have thought in two approaches:
1: use gr.bin_statistics just to change the USRP frequency
2: Build a block to manipulate the variables used by the UHD block (I do not
know how to change variables values (the ones that are like blocks) within a
block)

Which one would be better? (easier, efficient)
Thanks

The example provided only uses one USRP. If you're only using one USRP,
what will you receive message from, or transmit messages to?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question...

That kind of takes the "wireless" out of wireless research. But if you
insist:

   1. Its probably easiest to remove the "Simple Mac" block.
   2. Connect your application layer msg src/sinks to the radio_hier block.
   3. There is sufficient leakage in the radios that you'll receive all of
   the messages that you transmit

When you run a GRC app, it will usually print something like this in the
debug window:

Executing: "/home/user/Desktop/top_block.py"

So, top_block.py is the flow graph code generated by GRC, but you can
simply run this outside of GRC in the terminal like so:

/home/user/Desktop/top_block.py

Subject: [USRP-users] Setting external reference for subsequent
        programs
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hello,

Apologies to the list if this is documented somewhere and I missed it.
I'd like to configure my N210/B100s to use my house standard 10MHz
reference (and PPS) in programs such as uhd_siggen_gui that don't
appear to have the ability to set the clock reference to an external
source.

Is there a means to configure an N210 or B100 to use an external
reference for subsequent programs until the device is told to
use a different clock reference?

Thanks,

Kevin

Subject: [USRP-users] right for R3 but wrong for R4?
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Hi:

We use USRPs for a FDD system. USRP N210, rev 4 motherboard and rev 4
daughterboard.

Last month we re-installated the OS of one of our servers(Server 1).
After that, the output of our software went wrong. It seemed that the TX
module worked well but the waveform received from RX module looked
strange. At the same time, the same software works well on the other
server(Server 2), which has the same server, OS, version of complier,
boost and UHD.

Last week we replaced the R4 motherboard with an R3
motherboard.(daughterboard was still Rev 4)To our surprise, it went well
at once. The replaced motherboard has no fault because it works well on
Server 2.

Who can tell me why is that? What's the difference between RX module of
R3 and R4 motherboard? We need r4 board because we have only one R3 board.

Looking forward to reply.

ps:
our UHD version:003.001.002

Release 3.1.2 was actually released before N210 R4 was. You will have
better luck updating to a newer version of UHD, and you will get lots of
new features and bug fixes as a side effect.
