For the development of a RFNoC project I have a powerful tower PC with an Intel X520-DA2 PCIe card which features dual 10Gb SPF+ ports. With some Cisco SFP 10G Copper Twinax cable this matches the USRP X310’s network connectivity well.
We are considering taking the project on the road, and it would be really nice to have something a bit more portable than the tower PC. Has anybody investigated a Laptop solution that includes 10Gb Lan support? A quick Google highlights Laptops with Thunderbolt 3 interfaces (USB Type-C 3.1), and external Thunderbolt 3 to 10Gb SPF+ adapters like the following. http://www.sonnettech.com/product/twin10g-sfp-thunderbolt3.html https://www.atto.com/products/thunderbolt-adapters/thunderlink/thunderbolt-to-ethernet/TLNS-3102-D00 Has anybody considered something like this, or got an alternative Laptop solution? Thanks in advance, Mark.
