I did some more reading 'cause I felt bad for being a dork about uw-imap.

I think you still need to set DEFAULT. MAILDIR just specifies where the targets for your recipes are. DEFAULT says where it goes if no recipe matched it. Unless it's explicitly set, DEFAULT is set to $ORGMAIL which is set to /var/mail/$LOGNAME. This is the case unless the -m option is passed to procmail.

MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir/

In /etc/procmailrc and in my .procmailrc, so I don't think that this is
problem.  I think that for local->local delivery, exim is skipping
procmail somehow.  I could be wrong, though.
