Red Hat paid Caldera back in the early days to write the RPM program.. Caldera ported Netscape 1 or 2 to Linux so there would be a graphical browser in addition to lynx (and possibly links?). German Caldera engineers developed StarOffice which was sold to Sun later. On the StarOffice one, I am not totally certain as to whether it was originally developed by Caldera or if Caldera bought the company that created it and then developed it further before selling it..
